Under the new PLUS initiative, child care programs in North Carolina can participate if they have a license rated 3 stars or higher. WebAfter further discussion with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the department does not expect a Year 2 expansion of the geographic areas. The department's interest shall remain in the Year 1 geographic areas, where Plans can propose to serve one or both of the following service areas:
