WebF: 2 TB SATA SSD. So total size for me currently is about 124 GB. I've been playing from launch and initial install for me was around 100 GB. As each update/patch comes out and new world updates are installed, it's grown a bit. For me, Steam only reports 1.58 GB as it only counts the launcher as the install.

However, this can be at least partially mitigated if you are using a larger drive that is rarely close to being full. Even taking this performance drop into account, SSDs are still much faster than HDDs, though.
WebJust a heads up, most SSD’s will slow down significantly when they are mostly full. I think once you get around 10% free space they can become slower than a HDD. Prices are still a bit steep, but much better than they used to be. I've got a pair of 2TB m.2 ssd's in my rig for about 250 each. (USD)
