WebJun 25, 2012 · If you then switch it off, lock and unlock the car then fire it back up, the message hasnt cleared but the engine does have a bit more power than at first. It isnt anywhere near what the BHP is fully, but it is useable. As its in its warranty I called Ford Assist, who sent the AA out. WebI'm having an issue on my 2014 Ford Focus where by if the car is under high load (like going up a steep hill or accelerating hard) a noticeable hissing noise is present and then a warning pops up "Engine Malfunction Warning - Service Now". As soon as the message appears, the hissing stops and the car is noticeably restricted.

WebMar 6, 2014 · Everything seemed fine. Pulled up on a car park and turned off the engine. 15 minutes later, went to start the engine and it sounded like it was 'chugging'. Tried again twice but still the same. I turned on the electrics and used my wipers, they were slow, so tried the windows which were also slow.
