WebJul 27, 2024 · Tahquamenon Falls – Rivermouth Pines. Like many Michigan State Parks, Tahquamenon Falls in the U.P. is a large park with many campgrounds throughout. My favorite has to be Rivermouth Pines. Located away from the falls where the Tahquamenon River meets Lake Superior, this area is off the beaten path and quiet. WebLast summer the family and I camped at Tahquamenon Falls, Rivermouth Pines. We really enjoyed how the campground was set in pine forest. Looking for other "pine forest" campgrounds in Michigan. Prefer the lower peninsula but will take any suggestions for future use. Thanks!

WebJan 11, 2024 · A waterfront site at Rivermouth Pines was only available for the final night of our trip, so we started off in the Portage Campground. Portage is located near the parking for the lower falls and is a modern campground with electric hookup and modern restrooms.
